Getting home after a night: plan it like the listing

The last mile is part of being a good guest. Do not make the host your cab.

Pop parties and events end in real cities with real last trains. Book the way home when you pay, not when the lights come up.

Before you go out

Pin the pin. Know the last metro. Screenshot a cab estimate. Share the listing time with someone who is not drinking with you. If you do not drink, say so — it is useful, not moral.

Alcohol

Match the room. A tasting is not a contest. A pop party is not a blackout. Hosts remember who needed to be poured into a car.

Do not

Ask to sleep over unless the listing is an outstation stay. Do not leave bags in the venue “for a bit.” Do not make the kitchen close later because you lost your phone in a planter.

The night you planned the last mile for is the night you get invited back. Find the next one on pop parties.
