Pack for a kitchen day like you mean to work

Closed shoes, hair tied, phone away. The pass is not a lookbook.

A kitchen someday day is heat, steel, and other people’s service. Dress like a guest who was invited to help, not like a critic who was invited to watch.

Wear

  • Closed shoes with grip. No slides. No new white sneakers you will protect instead of the floor.
  • Cotton or similar that can take a stain. Skip trailing sleeves and scarves.
  • Hair tied. Nails short. Light or no perfume — food is the scent.

Bring

A small bag you can stash. A bottle if they did not say water is around. A sweater for the walk home. That is it.

Leave

Ring lights, extra friends, and the idea that you will “just grab a reel at the pass.” Ask before any photo. If they say no, that is the whole answer.

Find a kitchen listing on someday days and write your why after you have packed the shoes, not before.
